GLENN HUGHES: I Declined To Work With MICHAEL SCHENKER

December 6, 2007

Contrary to a posting on Michael Schenker's official web site, legendary bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH) will **NOT** perform on the new MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP (MSG) album, tentatively due in April.

Says Hughes: "I declined to work with Michael. I do not play that kind of music. I wanna concentrate on my own style of music."

Hughes' video for the song "Monkey Man" from his latest album, "Music For The Divine", featuring co-vocals by Jimmy Barnes, can be viewed below. A remix of "Monkey Man" is included on the Australian version of "Music for the Divine". Also featured is a cover of LED ZEPPELIN's "Misty Mountain Hop", featuring a guest appearance by ALICE IN CHANS guitarist Jerry Cantrell.
